About this event
The Deep Front Line (DFL) is one of the body’s deepest myofascial continuities, connecting structures that influence the feet, legs, pelvis, spine, diaphragm, neck, and jaw. When tension or restriction develops along this pathway, clients may present with patterns of discomfort and dysfunction that aren't always explained by the area where they feel pain.
This 8-hour, FSMTB-registered continuing education workshop takes you beyond memorizing anatomy and into the practical application of Deep Front Line work.
You'll explore the anatomy of the DFL, the muscles and fascial structures associated with it, and the relationships between these structures and common client presentations. Most importantly, more than 80% of the workshop is hands-on , giving you extensive time to practice and experience the techniques.
What You'll Learn
• The anatomy and organization of the Deep Front Line
• The muscles and fascial structures associated with the DFL
• How these structures relate through movement, posture, and function
• Common patterns of tension, restriction, and compensation
• Client presentations and conditions that may involve DFL structures
• Palpation and assessment strategies for identifying areas of restriction
• Hands-on myofascial release techniques for working with the DFL
• How to approach deeper structures while respecting tissue response and client comfort
• Ways to integrate Deep Front Line techniques into your existing bodywork practice
Learn It. Feel It. Practice It.
This isn't a lecture-heavy anatomy course.
Over 80% of the workshop is hands-on , with students alternating between practicing techniques, receiving fascia release, exploring anatomical landmarks, and observing demonstrations.
You'll see the anatomy, locate the structures, feel the restrictions, practice the techniques, and experience the work in your own body.
The goal is to help you develop a more three-dimensional understanding of the Deep Front Line—and give you practical techniques you can begin incorporating into your sessions immediately.
