Good morning, Mooresville.

In April 2025, the Lonely Children’s Fund helped a one-year-old foster child from Iredell County reunite with his biological father in Indiana by providing travel support and essentials (car seat, diapers, clothing).

The child is now thriving in his new home with his father, step-mother, and half-sibling.

Statesville Country Club saw membership grow after a major capital investment upgraded the golf course, clubhouse, and restaurant services.

General manager Bria Argrett said the club fosters a close-knit community with regular events like Easter dinners and Breakfast with Santa planned for future members.

The Iredell Arts Council will host a free opening reception for Mary Fiorillo’s exhibition on Wednesday, Jan.

NCDHHS is providing 8,000 free residential radon test kits (visit radon.ncdhhs.gov) during National Radon Action Month to help families check for dangerous radon levels; households in Mooresville can order one kit while supplies last.

Iredell Memorial Hospital welcomed the first baby of 2026 late in the evening (nurse Browne noted surprise at the timing) as staff celebrated a warm start to the new year.
