- ➤ A home was destroyed by fire at 146 Skyview Hill Drive this Wednesday morning in Alexander County near the Iredell County line (a candle ignited bathroom curtains), and the occupant escaped with no injuries while firefighters from Vashti, Hiddenite and Central Fire District of Iredell County responded at 4:40 a.m. WHKY

- ➤ Pine Lake Preparatory student Roshan Naik won the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District. His webapp NationVitals will be shown in the U.S. Capitol for one year and featured on House.gov while he attends HouseofCode in April. Mooresville Citizen
- ➤ Gov. Stein, Phil Berger, and Speaker Destin Hall announced on Tuesday the formation of a Blue Ribbon Commission on Public Education that includes Mooresville Graded Schools Superintendent Jason Gardner among 28 members appointed statewide.
