  • 28-year-old Colby Allen Wray from Long Pine Lane in Conover was arrested Saturday, March 15, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana (up to one-half ounce), possession of marijuana paraphernalia and resisting a public officer; he is held with no bond at the Catawba County Detention Facility.  WHKY

  • Administrators at Iredell-Statesville Schools expressed serious concerns on Monday, March 17, 2025, about the Board of Education’s ethics and decision-making, with nearly 64% disagreeing the board acts with integrity and 59% saying personal agendas affect its decisions. A survey of about 90 administrators revealed criticism of board members for not engaging with schools and the community (raising fears of delays in important projects and teacher retention issues).  Iredell Free News
