- ➤ The Iredell-Statesville Schools Board honored students for excellence in spelling, science, math and archery at its March meeting. The spelling bee champion advanced to regional and will move to the national bee in May, while 15 science fair projects competed at the state event on March 21 (NC State University). - ➤ Governor Josh Stein announced nearly $26 million in broadband funding on Monday (Mar. 23) to expand high-speed internet across 66 counties, including connecting 5,161 homes, businesses, and community sites in Iredell by year-end 2026. WHKY
