  • At Mitchell Community College in Statesville on Friday, the Iredell Ready forum discussed how advancing AI will change jobs and increase demand for skills like honesty and trust—panelists said retraining programs are needed to help workers adjust. Speakers including Bill Daggett and Jeff James stressed that new educational programs will help bridge the skills gap and address a living wage challenge highlighted in the State of Educational Attainment Report.  Iredell Free News

  • The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services is urging Mooresville residents, health care providers, and child care centers to update their MMR shots — no measles cases have been reported in 2025 so far, but rising cases nationally mean the state must be ready for an outbreak.  Iredell Free News
  • Iredell Health System ended visitor rules at Iredell Memorial Hospital on March 28—rules that were made on January 14 to keep patients safe from the flu, COVID-19 and RSV. The system still advises anyone who is sick to stay away unless they need care.  WHKY
