ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has issued guidelines for residents as spring brings more wildlife into neighborhoods. Officials advise securing food sources + garbage and contacting the Wildlife Helpline at 866-318-2401 for assistance.  Mooresville Citizen
  • Lake Norman Wildlife is seeking local volunteers to maintain 73 adoptable islands and protect wildlife (including Great Blue Heron) through trash collection, native plantings, and nesting box installations on Earth Day. The program partners with Duke Energy and the NC Wildlife Federation to enhance the lake’s natural habitats.  Mooresville Citizen
