- ➤ The Gemstone District Cub Scouts held a county-level Pinewood Derby at the Rocky Mount Church in Mooresville where 18 Scouts raced down an inclined track—Leyton Jones from Pack 171 finished first, John Bamard from Pack 166 placed second, and Nixon Pharr from Pack 363 came in third. - ➤ Davidson Community Foundation announced its 501c3 status to mark its fifth anniversary and highlighted its work in securing affordable units at Parkside Commons and funding home repairs in West Davidson — the organization raised over $1.4 million since April 2020 and will support 15 home repairs by year‑end to help residents meet critical needs.
