- ➤ On Wednesday, Mooresville officials held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the $10 million renovation of Moor Park at 691 S. Broad Street — the project, awarded to G.L. Wilson Building Co. in April, will complete Phase 1 by Spring 2026 at the historic baseball park built in 1919. Iredell Free News
- ➤ County Manager Beth Milton presented the proposed Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget to the Iredell County Board of Commissioners on May 6, showing a plan that balances core services with capital investments and keeps the tax rate at 50 cents per $100 valuation. Commissioners will review the proposal in budget workshops scheduled for next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. WHKY
