  • County Manager Beth Milton presented the proposed 2025-2026 budget to the board on Tuesday. The general fund totals $343,847,360 based on a 50-cent tax rate per $100 and includes education funding increases, capital projects, and staff retention measures—workshops are scheduled for next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with final approval expected in June.  Iredell Free News
