- ➤ Dennis Cowardin was honored with the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award for 20 years of dedicated service in Mooresville and Iredell County, and the recognition marks his long-standing volunteer work in the community. Mooresville Tribune
- ➤ Town Manager Tracey Jerome dedicated a Fallen Officers Memorial at the Mooresville Police Department on Tuesday morning during National Police Week. The memorial features a granite arch (engraved with names and images of fallen officers) and invites residents to pause and honor their sacrifice. Iredell Free News
- ➤ Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center unites law enforcement, social services, and medical professionals to help children report abuse and receive therapy. - ➤ At its May meeting, the Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education honored school nurses, student winners from Odyssey of the Mind and FIRST Lego League robotics, and gifted teachers for their achievements across the district. Iredell Free News

- ➤ Mooresville’s OsteoStrong center at 132 Joe Knox Ave. uses robotic devices to boost bone density and strength in 10-minute sessions.
