  • I-CARE Inc. is using a $132,000 grant from N.C. Housing Finance Agency to help low-income homeowners in Iredell County repair their roofs so they can stay in their homes. Roger and Annie Hager and other eligible residents have received urgent repairs and can apply for help until October 31 — the program aims to ease the burden of rising repair costs.  Iredell Free News

  • Iredell-Statesville Schools officials announced that athletic facilities at Weathers Creek High School will cost about $35 million—an increase of $7 million from the original estimate—due to rising costs of materials and labor. Bidding is expected to begin in one year if the facilities are included, with Montieth Construction leading efforts to meet an August opening in 2027.  Iredell Free News
