Good morning, Mooresville.

The Statesville Woman’s Club donated part of its Annual Geranium Sale proceeds to Food For Days, a Mooresville program that has provided backpacks with six weekend meals for 428 students in 19 Iredell County schools — a program that began 12 years ago.

Iredell-Statesville Schools’ Rockets, Rovers and Robots Camp will offer a week of STEM activities this summer for middle and rising high school students at a Mars-themed camp in Troutman—participants will build and launch rockets outside Career Academy and Technical School while practicing problem solving. Camp Director Debra Lester said the program will rotate students through stations for rocket, robot and science projects.

The Town of Mooresville reduced the speed limit on West Lowrance Avenue today after local residents raised safety concerns—town officials said the change aims to lower traffic risks.
