Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 28th of June.
Good morning, Mooresville.
📰 Economy
Experian said high mortgage rates kept home sales low, with fewer than 4 million homes sold in 2024—the fewest since 1995.
If the Federal Reserve does not lower rates further, Mooresville buyers may face expensive loans and fewer choices in 2025.
🏥 Health
Ben Yeager from the Alzheimer’s Association spoke on Iredell Health System’s Inspire Iredell podcast—explaining warning signs like memory loss and confusion—and urged those noticing changes to get tested early.
He added that new FDA-approved blood tests may lead to faster diagnosis, opening the door for timely treatment options for patients and caregivers.
