Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell charged two men after a vehicle launched fireworks at an occupied home on Buffalo Shoals Road on Saturday, July 5—sparks from one firework caused property damage and a vehicle search led to additional charges for a female passenger accused of underage drinking.

Troutman Town Council members expressed concern at a recent meeting—reporting that in-person and social media threats were made against them, and Mayor Teross Young advised reporting such incidents immediately to law enforcement.

Iredell County EMS is enhancing pediatric care by introducing Carter Kits to help calm children during emergencies.

The kits, named for Carter Severs—a child with autism—and developed by his father, Detective Justin Severs from Saginaw Township, Michigan, will be used during emergency responses.
