- ➤ The rezoning application for 51.525 acres along Josey Road was withdrawn by the applicant from the Iredell County Planning Board and Board of County Commissioners. Harry Tsumas of Metrolina Capital Partners filed the request on behalf of property owner Mark K. Miller to rezone five parcels for commercial development with plans for additional truck parking in connection with a future Love’s Travel Plaza—no further action will be taken. Iredell Free News

- ➤ Carmen Markel from Mooresville and Harper Willis from Davidson have qualified for the USA Volleyball Beach National Championship and will play in the 12U Open Division in Virginia Beach from July 16th–21st.
