- ➤ The Town of Mooresville announced that the 3rd Annual Bands, Brews & BBQ Festival will take place on Saturday, September 13 from 4 to 9 p.m. in Liberty Park and Downtown Mooresville—featuring headlining acts Jefferson Starship and Night Ranger, over 20 BBQ food trucks, a family fun zone and a craft beer garden. - ➤ A long-standing Mooresville barbershop will hold its final haircut event tomorrow at 128 E. McLelland Ave.—marking the end of 62 years in that location—and will re-open on Aug. 5 inside Whitey’s Barber Shop at 132 E. Statesville Ave to continue serving loyal locals. - ➤ On July 23, a Mooresville police officer attempted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle from Belmont, leading to a high-speed chase on I-77 that ended when the car crashed into a median and both a fleeing passenger—arrested after a brief pursuit—and the driver—detained after a K-9 track—were taken to Iredell County Detention Center with bonds set at $75,000 and $3,500.
