Teacher Chris Auld leads Lake Norman High’s Bible history program and now teaches nearly 300 students from all backgrounds with a focus on history and literacy rather than proselytizing.

His approach with small-group discussions and collaborative activities has boosted enrollment and earned praise from parents.

At its July meeting, the Drug-Alcohol Coalition of Iredell hosted Lori Bosma Ream from Responder Development and Empowerment to explain how trauma affects frontline workers and offer resilience strategies (including counseling and peer support) to help first responders and veterans manage stress.
