The awards went to Robert Gates from Gates Construction Company—named Businessperson of the Year, Amy LaCount of Mooresville Christian Mission for the Sara Haire Tice Women in Leadership Award, Rescue Ranch for the Duke Energy Service Award, Robert Edmiston of Aisle Pawn Shop as Entrepreneurial Award winner, Dr. Tim Brewer as Citizen of the Year, and Ambassadors Stan Thompson and Bill Thunberg for their work on the Hydrail Initiative.
