- ➤ Fifth Street Ministries is coordinating a community response for about 60 family units displaced by the Brookwood Inn closure in partnership with the Iredell Homeless Coalition and other local groups. The United Way Endowment has provided a $15,000 matching grant — and response coordinator Pam Navey is leading the effort — to offer immediate housing support and essential services. - ➤ Mooresville maintained a AAA issuer rating from Moody’s and AA+ ratings from Standard & Poor’s on its Limited Obligation Bonds—reflecting strong fiscal management and a growing tax base. Town Manager Tracey Jerome said the ratings follow a 32% tax base increase after the 2024 revaluation and robust construction activity. Iredell Free News
- ➤ Iredell County is recruiting for many government positions in parks and recreation, emergency services, and social services with several openings offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus — applications are open until filled with some roles closing as early as Aug 12th and Aug 14th. Iredell Free News
