- ➤ Iredell County sheriff’s office raided two homes on Aug. 8 after receiving drug trafficking tips and arrested nine adults while seizing drugs, firearms and paraphernalia — children were taken by social services at one location. Mooresville Tribune
- ➤ A Harmony man, 27-year-old Peyton Seth Shortridge, was pulled over on Interstate 77 Tuesday and arrested after deputy W. Wiedenmann’s canine partner — Levi — detected 44 grams of methamphetamine in his car, and he now faces felony charges for trafficking methamphetamine by possession and transport plus a misdemeanor charge for resisting an officer. - ➤ MGSD Chief Operations Officer Scott Smith said bus drivers committed 19 stop-arm violations during the first five days of school and that the district reported the offenders to law enforcement.
