- ➤ In June on Lake Norman, Iredell County rescuers responded within two minutes to a reported drowning by saving a woman and recovering the body of 63-year-old Charles William Crowe Jr. using a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) funded by drug operation recoveries and N.C. General Assembly dollars. Mooresville Tribune

- ➤ Iredell County deputies arrested Jarvis Edwards Jr. — a 34-year-old suspect from Charlotte — just after midnight on August 25 at A&A Auto Sales on Turnersburg Highway after finding him in possession of stolen lawnmowers, a trailer, burglary tools, and a firearm; he now faces more than a dozen criminal charges while another suspect fled the scene. - ➤ The Mooresville Planning Board voted 6—1 to deny rezoning requests for two large residential projects after residents raised concerns about traffic, overcrowded schools, and local infrastructure at Fern Hill Road and Black Angus Lane. The nonbinding decisions will go to the Town Board for a final review. Iredell Free News
