- ➤ Gov. Josh Stein proclaimed September as Smart Start Month to honor 30 years of efforts to help children start school healthy. The Iredell County Partnership for Young Children — with offices in Statesville and Mooresville — delivers early education, health support, and literacy services to local families. Iredell Free News
- ➤ The Mooresville Graded School District ranked 13th out of 115 public school districts for the 2024-2025 school year based on data released Wednesday by the state education department. The district achieved a graduation rate above 95 percent with strong growth at its intermediate and middle schools and saw no schools designated as low-performing. Iredell Free News
- ➤ Data released by state officials shows that Iredell-Statesville Schools reached a 91.1% graduation rate—the highest in over 10 years—with 20 of its 35 schools meeting or exceeding growth expectations for the 2024/2025 school year, and district leaders will continue using focused teaching changes to boost student performance.
