Good morning, Mooresville.

The YMCA of Greater Charlotte announced on Monday it sold about four acres of unused greenspace on its Lowe's YMCA campus in Mooresville to Josh's Farmers Market, which has served the community for nearly 20 years.

Josh's Farmers Market will begin construction on a 6,700 square-foot indoor market this fall and plans to open it in spring while sharing parking with the YMCA.

Nurse practitioner Hannah Brown at Family Care Center of Statesville explains that a wellness checkup covers basics like blood pressure, heart rate, and weight — and also reviews long-term conditions, medications, and screening tests to catch issues early.

Patients should bring their medication list, recent test results, and questions to ensure a complete checkup.

Gov. Josh Stein approved an order letting people aged 65 and up and high-risk individuals aged 18 to 64 get the 2026-26 COVID vaccine booster from pharmacies without a prescription — the rule aims to cut red tape as the cold and flu season nears.
