- ➤ At the September meeting of DACI, Executive Director Kristin Blumenstein led brainstorming sessions where members supported continuing the distribution of Narcan, prescription drug lock boxes, disposal kits, alcohol locks, and prevention trainings while suggesting a multi-year strategic plan and new initiatives for substance abuse education. The coalition also planned the March 10 ‘In The Know’ event featuring keynote speakers Dr. Shuchin Shukla and Gail Embt, and Restoration Road Ministry shared updates on efforts to assist at-risk families—measures aimed at reducing substance misuse in Iredell. - ➤ Piedmont HealthCare opened Women’s Imaging at Fern Creek at 1424 Fern Creek Drive, Suite B in Statesville on September 23, offering advanced 3D mammography and DEXA scans.
