- ➤ Mooresville Arts is showcasing 134 entries by 76 artists at the 43rd Annual Artoberfest Judged Show and Competition in the Mooresville Arts Gallery through November 13. The gallery will also hold an awards ceremony and an Art and Acoustics event on Friday, October 10—where guests can enjoy live art demonstrations, music and opportunities to meet the artists. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The 2026 Extension Master Gardener training will start in February with a beginning gardening series followed by horticulture classes until the end of May — fees are $150 and applications will be accepted in December. Two interest meetings will be held for sign-ups at the Iredell County Center in Statesville on October 15 and at the Mooresville Public Library on October 29, both from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Iredell Free News
