- ➤ Visit Mooresville purchased two downtown buildings at 169 and 175 North Main Street to house the new Visitor Center and administrative offices and boost downtown revitalization. Renovations will begin in the first half of 2026, and the plan comes as Bill Thunberg’s Alexander Zachary Jewelers closes at 175 North Main Street at the end of November — marking a new chapter for the town. - ➤ Catawba County hospitals forgave $3.4 million in medical debt for 5,000 patients. Hospitals in Catawba, Iredell, Burke, McDowell+ Caldwell counties forgave over $233.72 million in unpaid bills, easing the financial burden on many. Mooresville Tribune
