- ➤ On Friday, October 31, high school football games in the Western Piedmont, Western Foothills and Northwestern conferences showed clear wins—teams like Chase, East Burke and West Iredell posted strong scores while several matchups ended in shutouts and overtime wins. WHKY
- ➤ The Mooresville Blue Devils won the North Piedmont Conference championship after beating Lake Norman on Halloween with a 23-21 finish; senior quarterback Brody Norman threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Dom Morin with 10 seconds left as nearly 5,000 fans (in attendance) cheered the dramatic game.
