- ➤ West Iredell High School held its 41st annual Veterans Day Ceremony Friday morning to honor local veterans with flag folding, patriotic music and speeches from school officials and veterans groups. The event recognized 98-year-old veteran David 'Max' Burgess — who received a folded flag, quilt and plaque — along with other honorees before a luncheon was served by Cooking for Christ.
