- ➤ The Iredell-Statesville Schools Board voted unanimously on Monday to approve a $274 million budget for fiscal year 2025-2026, which will include $1.8 million from the fund balance to cover services for exceptional children. CFO Adam Steele and Superintendent Jeff James said rising costs for salaries+benefits, utilities, and substitute teachers have prompted plans to seek new local revenue sources for future budgets. - ➤ Troutman Elementary students honored veterans by writing thank-you notes in a classroom project led by teachers Bethany Crisp and Emily Hawkins — they learned about military service, the branches of the armed forces, and the importance of Veterans Day.
