On November 1, food banks in our area struggled because of supply cuts and shortages and about two weeks ago local groups—Piedmont Healthcare, Hunk a Junk Hauling and United Way of Iredell—launched food drives and donations that delivered over 1,000 pounds of food to nine pantries.
💼 Business
A two-day conference on Dec.
10 and Dec. 11 in Iredell County will help locals learn how to start a lawn care business+ the event will offer practical guidance on setting up and managing a new company.
🎓 Education
EnergyUnited awarded $51,000 in Bright Ideas education grants to 41 local teachers to fund creative classroom projects that will benefit over 13,000 students across the service area — the awards were celebrated at a luncheon in Cornelius.
