- ➤ Today, representatives from the N.C. Medical Care Commission are asking the Local Government Commission to approve a $275,670,000 conduit revenue bond to refund interim financing Duke Health used to buy Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville on April 1. The commission—chaired by State Treasurer Brad Briner—is reviewing this as part of three funding proposals totaling $675 million to ensure the debt is adequate and affordable. Iredell Free News
