Book of the Month: The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman
For our December pick, we're going with something a little lighter and more entertaining for the busy holiday season. The Thursday Murder Club is a witty, character-driven mystery about four friends living in a retirement community who meet each week to investigate unsolved murders—until they unexpectedly find themselves involved in a real one.
With an engaging mystery, plenty of humor, and a memorable cast of characters, the book offers a fun change of pace while still giving us plenty to discuss.
Join us as we discuss: 🔎 The mystery, suspects, and twists 💬 The friendships and personalities at the heart of the story ❤️ Aging, purpose, and finding connection later in life 😂 The balance of humor and murder throughout the novel
If you enjoy clever mysteries, memorable characters, and a book that's easy to pick up during a busy time of year, this month's selection should make for a relaxed and enjoyable discussion. New members are always welcome!
About the Club
Our book club meets every four to six weeks to give everyone plenty of time to enjoy each selection. We explore books across a variety of genres and subjects, with a new theme each month to keep things fresh and engaging. All are welcome—whether you make it every time or just drop in when a book catches your eye. 📖
