🀄 American Mahjong by the Lake (North Harbor Club)

About this event

## Lunch by the Lake + Outdoor American Mahjong 🌊 Come spend a beautiful fall afternoon with us for lunch, American Mahjong, fresh air, and good company at North Harbor Club! 📅 Saturday, 11/07 ⏰ 1:00–4:00 PM 📍 North Harbor Club 100 N Harbor Pl, Davidson, NC 28036

Who should join: People from all backgrounds are all welcome here to join. No matter you are professionals, retirees, or any phase of your life and just want to play mahjong.

### 🍽️ Lunch First, Mahjong After We’ll start with lunch together , giving everyone time to relax, chat, and get to know one another. Everyone will order individually from the restaurant menu and be responsible for their own food and drinks. After lunch, it’s time to bring out the tiles! I talked with the manager from this restaurant and we think it's the best to have this event to avoid their lunch and dinner crowded hours. Therefore I think 1-4pm is the best. Please at least order lunch there so we can be good customers and show appreciation to let us use their space for long hours of Mahjong in this precious location. ### 🀄 American Mahjong This event is for American Mahjong players. Whether you’ve been playing for a while or are still building your confidence, you’re welcome to join us. This is casual social play, not a tournament . The idea is simply to enjoy the game, practice, meet new people, and have a fun afternoon together. If you have an American Mahjong set and/or current NMJL card , please bring it. If you can bring a Mahjong set, please mention it in the comments so we can make sure we have enough sets for everyone.

This restaurant has outdoor seating and indoor seating. We will see how the weather like to decide whether sit indoor or outdoor. Come enjoy lunch by the lake + fall weather + American Mahjong + new friends . 🀄🌊 Looking forward to playing with everyone! Restaurant link: https://northharborclub.com

## 🀄 Attendance Policy Our Mahjong events depend on having the correct number of players at each table. A no-show or late arrival can leave three people waiting and may prevent an entire table from playing. We also normally have a long waitlist of people hoping to attend . When someone holds a spot but does not show up or cancels at the last minute, another member misses the opportunity to participate. Please respect the host, your fellow players, and those on the waitlist by following these guidelines: ### RSVP Responsibly Please RSVP only if you genuinely plan to attend. If the event is full, your RSVP is holding a spot that could otherwise be offered to someone on the waitlist. ### Cancellations If your plans change, please update your RSVP at least 24 hours before the event whenever possible. This gives us time to notify someone on the waitlist. We understand that emergencies happen. If you must cancel at the last minute, please send the host a message instead of simply not attending. ### Arrive on Time Please try your best to be on time. If you are going to be late, please notify the host the estimate arrival time so your table mate know what to expect. ### No-Shows

• After the first no-show or uncommunicative late arrival, you will receive a reminder of this policy.

• After a second occurrence, you may be moved to the waitlist for the next Mahjong event.

• Repeated no-shows, no communication about being late may result in losing RSVP privileges for future Mahjong events.

We want these events to remain welcoming, fair, and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you for keeping your RSVP updated, arriving on time, communicate if you will be late and giving waitlisted members a fair opportunity to attend! 🀄
