- ➤ Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is applying for a USDA-RD-HCFP-HPG grant to fund essential repairs to owner-occupied homes in Iredell County for low- to very-low-income residents — the repairs will fix urgent issues such as roof or plumbing hazards — and the public may submit comments on the Statement of Activities until September 3. - ➤ Jonathan Ribbeck has been hired as chief of schools by Mooresville Graded School District. He brings years of work from Iredell-Statesville Schools—where he helped improve elementary programs and led school improvement efforts—and his leadership is expected to boost success in our schools. - ➤ The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association of Iredell County invites community members to attend a fundraiser on September 13 at the Iredell County Cooperative Extension Center in Statesville.
