The Kindness Closet, a Mooresville nonprofit hygiene bank, expanded and renovated its warehouse with a $100,000 Lowe's Community Impact Grant and help from dozens of Red Vest Volunteers from the local Mooresville store and corporate headquarters. The space goes from 900 square feet to 3,500, WSOC reports.
The renovation will increase the Closet's ability to distribute hygiene products by nearly 30%, thanks to new shelving, packing stations and a more efficient warehouse. It's one of six Lowe's-funded community improvements across the Charlotte area this fall.
