- ➤ The Mooresville Graded School District Board approved Toni-Ann Lukacs as the new director of the Before and After School Program; she brings over a decade of teaching and childcare experience — having led classrooms in Charlotte-Mecklenburg and managed a childcare center — to support staff and families in our schools. - ➤ The Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education discussed plans to update school devices by either keeping a one-to-one laptop program or shifting to a shared model as they prepare to roll out new devices in spring 2026, 2027 and 2028—devices are mostly in their fourth or fifth year and a Chromebook pilot received strong student praise.
