The Our Town Stage Entertainment Series returns at the Joe V.

Knox Auditorium in the Charles Mack Citizen Center with a Carole King tribute on Jan. 17, Murder Mystery Dinner on Feb. 13 & 14, and an Earth, Wind & Fire Tribute from April 24 to September; tickets cost $25 to $69.

Sawyer Insurance completed its long-time sponsorship of Mooresville High School football by donating $5,400 after the Blue Devils scored 27 touchdowns at home during the 2025 season (with funds split evenly between the Athletic Booster Club and Mooresville Christian Mission).

Mooresville grad Mark Baker was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament after his standout play helped Team USA Blind Soccer take bronze at the International Blind Sports Federation Americas Division 2 Championships in Costa Rica — he started three games and won two matches.
